
Our Board Members
Beatriz Sosa-Prado is a community leader and nonprofit consultant with over 15 years of experience in nonprofit environments, public health, and policy advocacy. Beatriz is recognized for her expertise in strategic planning, program management, and community engagement and is dedicated to advancing social justice and equity.
As the former Executive Director of the California Physicians Alliance, Beatriz was pivotal in advocating for healthcare reform in California to include everyone. During her four-year tenure, she redefined the organization’s mission and core values, forged strategic partnerships with coalitions, and influenced California’s healthcare policy. Beatriz’s efforts significantly increased public engagement and contributed to the advancement of statewide health policies through the California Legislature.
Beatriz holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, a Master of Science in Health Sciences from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Merced.

Amanda J. Baugh is a scholar of the environmental humanities working at the intersection of religion, race, and environmental justice. She is a Professor and the Associate Chair of Religious Studies and Director of the MA Program in Sustainability at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Baugh is the author of Falling in Love With Nature: The Values of Latinx Catholic Environmentalism

A born and raised Angeleno, Michell Saucedo is a true valley girl raised in North Hollywood, CA. A child of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, she earned her Bachelors in Environmental Science and Policy at Cal State University Long Beach. After college, she began her 15-year career in nonprofit fundraising. She has helped raise over $20 million, specializing in individual and annual giving and event fundraising. She has worked for grassroots organizations like TreePeople, a local environmental organization in Los Angeles, the Coalition for Humane Immigration Rights(CHIRLA), a statewide organization fighting for immigrant rights, and most recently, she is helping activate individuals to support LA Family Housing, a Los Angeles based nonprofit helping end homelessness in people’s lives. Michell is currently obtaining her Nonprofit Management Certificate and hopes to continue to make a positive impact in the nonprofit world.
